Multi-Channel Publishing
23 Jul 2026
With Multi-Channel Publishing (MCP), a single publication can be prepared for delivery to multiple external systems.Once configured, the exports are generated automatically as part of the publication workflow, so no manual export process is required for each issue. What is it used for? Multi-Channel Publishing is used when your publication needs to be delivered to one or more external systems in a specific file format. Common examples include deliveries to libraries or archive systems. Instead of creating these exports manually for every publication, the required files are generated automatically according to the configured setup. How is it implemented? To configure the export, we need the following information: Which output format(s) should be generated (for example, EPUB)? What is the preferred file naming convention (for example, title_yyyymmdd)? Where should the generated files be delivered? Once this information has been provided, we configure the export workflow for you. Read more More information can be found on the webpage. If you are interested in using this feature or have questions regarding it, please contact hello@prenly.com.

Uploading archive
12 Feb 2026
Using an FTP client, an archive (of standard PDF files) can be uploaded to us. Here are some simple instructions. Note: If your archive is larger than 100 GB, please contact us before uploading. Naming the files All uploaded PDF files must be named with the title (name or abbreviation of the newspaper) and publication date, if necessary also the part to which the PDF file belongs and the page number. If an issue consists of a merged PDF:title_20190101.pdf If an issue consists of several PDF files, add the page number:title_20190101_001.pdftitle_20190101_002.pdftitle_20190101_003.pdf If a number consists of different parts:title_20190101_partA_001.pdftitle_20190101_partA_002.pdftitle_20190101_partA_003.pdftitle_20190101_partB_001.pdftitle_20190101_partB_002.pdftitle_20190101_partB_003.pdf It is important to be consistent The name structure provided allows the files to be imported. Characters such as underscores and periods are also important. If any of the characters are replaced, the files will not be found during import and therefore not published. Therefore, make sure that the name structure always looks the same. Naming issues using the issue number (optional) By default, an issue will be named after the publication date, for example 2019-01-01.It is also possible to name the issue using its issue number, provided that the number is included in the filename in a structured format. For this to work, each PDF must follow a consistent naming format, for example:title_1_20190101.pdftitle_2_20190201.pdf In this example, we can extract issue numbers 1 and 2 from the filename, as well as the year 2019. If you would like to use this feature, please inform us:- that the issue number should be used in the name- which position in the filename contains the issue number- how the name should be formatted Examples of display format:- No. 1 - 2019- Issue 1 2019

Add video to article
24 Oct 2025
Here's how to add a video to an article in Prenly Workspace. 1. Log in to Prenly Workspace 2. Select an existing publication (that contains articles) or create a new article 3. Choose to edit an existing article or create a new one 4. Create a new paragraph and click the video icon ▶️ (see image). Click on the video icon 5. Paste the Youtube URL in the field for the video you want to add. In some cases, you can also paste an embed code. If you use Youtube Shorts, for example, there is no option to copy an embed code by default. However, there is a workaround so that you can generate such a code. Just replace the word shorts in the link with watch. Then go to the link to find the embed code as on regular Youtube clips. For example https://www.youtube.com/shorts/{video-id} will then become https://www.youtube.com/watch/{video-id} If everything works, you should see your video rendered in the article like the example video below. You can adjust the width via the icons above the video. Good luck!
